AP Language: Research Paper Revisions

After a serious amount of deliberation, I’ve decided to let you all of those who turned in a research paper have one more revision on the paper, including the people who did not submit papers for the first draft. I’m not excited about this, but it’s important that you learn the skills necessary to write a research paper before this year comes to an end.

The final draft will be due on Friday, Jan 12 in class. No exceptions, no late papers, no running to the library to print it at the start of class. To revise, you will need to do the following:

  • schedule a 10-minute meeting with me to discuss the changes you need to make in the paper, with all members of your group present. I will have a schedule on my board.
  • attach the previous draft(s) of your essay to the new one, with all changes bolded.
  • meet the minimum requirement of ten cited sources in the paper, with at least 20 in-text citations included.
  • have no errors in MLA formatting, including headers, the works cited page, font size, and everything else.

Failure to meet any of those expectations will mean no credit for the revision.

As a reminder, there are some excellent resources available to help you with the paper on this post.
